About Us
Alhamdulillah, the Muslim community around the South, East and West of OHare Airport has experienced growth since its humble beginnings more than 20 years ago. The Surrounding Suburbs of Bensenville, Wood Dale, Itasca, Elk Grove Village, Franklin Park, Schiller Park and Elmhurst have become a prime location to live and it is expected that the Muslim community will continue to expand. Currently there is a big need for a centrally located Masjid to unite these communities for a growing Muslim population. Therefore, many Muslim brothers belonging to these communities formed Al Hira Community Center by the grace of Allah SWT in October 2006. InshaAllah, the Board of Directors envision Al Hira Community Center to be a great source of inspiration for all Muslim communities by offering services such as:
- - Daily / Friday / Taraweeh prayers
- - Teach Qur'an (including memorization) to children as well as adults
- - Provide guidance to Muslims on the matters of Shariah
